Dubai: If you have decided to make Dubai your next holiday destination, there is a special discount card that you can take advantage of, which gives you access to the top tourist destinations in the emirate. The ALSAADA tourist card, offered by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), offers several promotions and discounts that can be availed during the visitors stay. The card was launched in December 2020. Here is how you can access the discount packages.
How to get the ALSAADA CARD
When tourists arrive at the Dubai International Airport (DXB), they usually get an envelope with a free sim card when they cross immigration. At the back of the envelope is a special Quick Response (QR) code. Once you scan the QR code, it will lead you to the app store to download the 'ALSAADA' app.
The app is available for both Apple and Android devices and it is only available for tourists entering through Dubai International Airport (DXB).
How to register with the ALSAADA app
Here are the steps to register on the app:
1. Open the app, and tap 'Create an new account for tourist'.
2. Next, enter the following details:
- UAE Entry document
- Enter your date of arrival
- Select your nationality
3. Tap on the 'Next' button.
4. Create a password.
5. Enter your mobile number and email address.
6. You can now login with your email or mobile number and passowrd.
The application will also provide a full list of promotions and discounts offered by ALSAADA card partners. You can claim the offers by selecting any of the offers and tapping on the 'Redeem' button.
How to view the virtual AlSAADA card
In case you are asked to show an ALSAADA card, you can go to your profile on the app's homepage and click on the 'Show My E-card', which will state your name and card number.
For how long will the card be valid?
As a tourist, you can benefit from this application throughout your stay in the country. The card expires once you leave the city. You can get a new card on your next visit to Dubai.
