We all have our personal lists - of the zaniest/quirkiest/
funniest/ craziest/smartest ... We devote this page to them.

This week, Ayse Banu Tas is operations manager in the Al Fahim group's Emirates Property Investment Group, Dubai, lists ...

Emotional security: It takes a lot to be a woman. It isn't just about looks and love. If her mascara is running and she looks like she's been crying, appreciate her for being human.

Friends: Knowing that there is someone out there who loves you as you are without the frills and the fake formalities makes difficult times so much easier to deal with. Be a friend to have one.

Looking good: Her skin is soft and she looks frail but don't let that deceive you. She can carry a lot more luggage than you can pack.

Keeping a positive attitude: We tend to believe that "there's always sunshine at the end of the rainbow" and that's how we face the trials life puts us through. We don't huff, puff and stomp our feet.

Laughter: The kind of giggles that get your eyes wet with tears and you rolling holding your stomach. Ever seen a man do that? My point exactly. Laugh and (the world will wonder what's wrong) that's when things go right and get in place for you.

Financial independence: It is true that the man is the breadwinner, but if a woman is given an opportunity to help her man, there'd be lots of
butter too!

Focus: We are always alert, we know what the people around us (colleagues, partners, children, sales ladies) want and how they plan to get it. This keeps us on our toes and we never lose focus on current affairs.

Being close to God: Knowing that God is always there looking after you and your family gives you an assurance that everything will work out for the best.

Marriage: Spending the rest of your life with someone can test a woman's strength since she has to learn how to compromise and accept her partner for what he is.

Motherhood: When you are bombarded daily with hugs and kisses from your growing child - you are fortified to face the world.
