New shopping outlets are coming to the northern emirates with the launch of the Lulu Centre in Umm Al Quwain and the Lulu Hypermarket in Ajman.
"These new projects reflect our ambitious growth plans for the region and our commitment to providing residents in this part of the UAE with an unparalleled shopping experience," said Yousuf Ali, managing director of EMKE Group.
These shopping centres promise consumers the highest standards in terms of shopping convenience, ambience and quality service, group representatives said.
Part of EMKE Group, the region's biggest retail chain, the two outlets have been strategically conceived to fulfil the shopping needs of both residents and expats.
"With the rapid economic growth being witnessed all around the UAE, we strongly feel we should be closer to our customers in the emirates of Umm Al Quwain and Ajman, so that they do not have to make long trips to meet their shopping needs," Ali said.
The 70,000 square foot Lulu Centre in Umm Al Quwain will offer an extensive product range, covering all categories.
This will include everything from fresh food, vegetables and grocery products to garments, electronics and home appliances.
The ample parking space will be another reason for Umm Al Quwain shoppers to enjoy shopping at Lulu Centre, group representatives said.
The Lulu Centre in Umm Al Quwain is slated to open on March 14. The 450,000 square foot Lulu Hypermarket in Ajman will open by the first week of April.
"The work on the Khalidiyah Mall in Abu Dhabi has already commenced and has already signed up some of the leading brands in various categories," Ali said.
"As for Dubai, the new Lulu Hypermarket projects at Barsha and Jumeirah are progressing at a rapid pace. Once completed, they will add new dimensions in terms of the overall shopping experience.
"Our immediate new overseas projects scheduled for this year include hypermarkets in Sohar and Darsait in Oman and a new mall in Doha," he said.
"These new projects reflect our ambitious growth plans and our commitment to providing residents with an unparalleled shopping experience."
