Dubai: The startAD support programme for startups is showcasing ten of its investments, all of which have UAE nationals as one of the founding team members.

Since its inception, startAD’s participating startups have raised $50 million in investment, secured over 50 projects and created more than 250 jobs globally.

“A core focus for startAD has been advancing homegrown tech innovations developed by UAE nationals through the Research Commercialization Summer Incubator programme, and the Ibtikari incubation, which is a partnership between startAD and the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development,” it said in a statement.

The startAD programme is based at NYU Abu Dhabi. Among the 10 startups to have picked up support are Blanco (into sustainable oral care) and Arabee (in educational technology).
