Eid Al Fitr 2021 in UAE: Eid prayer, public transport, parking timings and more
From Metro to public parks, here are all the timings for Eid Al Fitr
Dubai: Eid holidays across the UAE have been announced and residents will enjoy a break from Tuesday, May 11, up till the third day of Eid – Shawwal 3. The last day of Eid Al Fitr will be Saturday, May 15 which corresponds to the third day of Shawwal.
During the holidays, these are the timings for essential and popular public services that you need to make a note of.
Eid prayers
Eid Al Fitr prayers will be held at prayers halls across the UAE. According to an announcement by the National Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) during a media briefing.
The entire prayer and sermon will only last a total of 15 minutes.
Worshipers have been asked not to crowd entrances and exits of the prayer halls, and not to hold gatherings before and after the Eid prayer.
The mosques will also open only 15 minutes before prayer time, but ablution spaces will continue to remain closed.
Worshippers must continue to wear masks at all time, and maintain physical distancing before and after the Eid prayer services.

Free parking in Dubai
All parking will be free from Tuesday, May 11, to Shawwal 3, except for multi-storey car parkings. Read the full announcement here.
Free parking in Sharjah
However, this excludes special parking zones, like the parking areas where fees need to be paid on Fridays as well. These parking zones are clearly marked with blue signs, and motorists will need to pay for parking, if they use the parking slots.
Abu Dhabi – no parking and Darb toll fees
DHA COVID-19 testing centres, hospitals and health centres
Dubai Health Authority’s (DHA) COVID-19 testing centres at Al Badaa Health Centre, Al Khawaneej Health Centre and the Dubai Municipality Health Centre will operate as usual.
DHA vaccination centres to be closed
Vaccination centres at One Central, Al Barsha Hall, and Dialysis Centre in Al Twar, will be closed from May 12 till May 14. They will reopen on Sunday, May 16.
Al Barsha Health Centre and Nadd Al Hamar Health Centre are also shut on May 12 to 14.
Dubai visa services
Despite the Eid holidays, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) will continue receiving visa applications through the website - www.gdrfad.gov.ae/en - or the app – GDRFA Dubai. https://gulfnews.com/uae/government/how-to-get-gdrfa-dubai-services-during-eid-al-fitr-holidays-1.79092082The customer happiness centres will remain closed during the holidays.
