Dubai: In a shocking tragedy, an 11-year-girl in Riyadh was stabbed to death by the family housemaid, Al Arabiya reported.
The Ethiopian maid first attacked the girl’s brother—stabbing him 14 times—before he was able to escape and lock himself in the bathroom, where he was able to call his mother.
The maid then turned her attention to the girl, stabbing her to death.
Police have not commented yet on what triggered the maid to commit such a heinous crime and investigations are ongoing.
The boy is currently battling for his life in intensive care while the girl was pronounced dead by medics who rushed to scene of the crime.
The maid is currently in police custody pending further investigations.
