Cairo: Oman Wednesday announced 106 new coronavirus cases, bringing to 1,614 the country's overall infections including eight fatalities.

The newly diagnosed cases are 35 Omanis and 71 foreigners, the Health Ministry added in an update without giving a breakdown of their nationalities.

The overall number of recovered coronavirus patients in Oman stands at 238, the ministry added, according to Oman's news agency ONA.
