Jakarta: Indonesian photographer Ilham Anas has shot to fame working as a double for US President-elect Barack Obama.
Anas rose to fame in Jakarta after Obama won the election in November. Obama lived in Jakarta for four years after his American mother married an Indonesian.
Anas has appeared in a TV commercial in the Philippines. Whenever he is in public, people ask him for an autograph or to pose in a photo with them.
He said it started when colleagues made him wear a suit and a tie, which spread quickly on the internet. Later, TV stations and an advertising agency got in touch with him.
Anas, who was born and raised in Bandung, West Java, said he feels lucky to resemble Obama.
He said if he gets the chance to meet Obama, he would ask the US president to take a firm stance in dealing with the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
