Dubai: With highs of 48 degrees Celsius on Saturday in the UAE, the expected winds and low humidity are likely to bring some respite from the heat.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology's daily bulletin has forecast hot and hazy weather in general during the daytime, with increasing cloud cover over the northern emirates and internal areas, with some towering clouds over the mountains by afternoon .

Light to moderate dusty and sandy winds are forecast and relative humidity is likely to increase during night over the coastal areas.

Cloud cover on the east coast puts temperatures around 35 degrees Celsius and 50 per cent humidity with an overall average temperature over the rest of the country between 43 and 47 degrees Celsius.

The western region will experience the least humidity at between 10 and 30 per cent.

In Dubai and Abu Dhabi humidity is slightly higher at between 25 and 35 per cent.
