Sony's broadcast and professional division has moved to its new premises at Dubai Media City (DMC). The move reiterates the company's commitment to further enhancing communication and support levels to its business partners and customers across the region, says Sony.

"With our focus on the broadcast and communications network business, we see Dubai Media City as the ideal location for our regional support office," said Phil Slack, divisional manager. "From this exciting location, we will be in close contact with many media companies as well as further improve our support to all our customers in the Middle East and Africa region."

The new premises, spread across 8,000 square feet, will house 50 staff specialising in sales, marketing, support and training. Saeed Hussain Al Muntafiq, chief executive, DMC, said: "We are pleased to welcome Sony broadcast and professional to the community at Dubai Media City, the hub of the media industry in the region.

"Sony broadcast and professional is an extremely valuable addition to the community especially because its vast technological expertise complements the growing media production activity here. Its presence adds to the synergy generated by the community and makes it more self-sufficient."
