A science club and a heritage museum were recently set up by the Khor Fakkan Association for Culture and Folklore Arts to make young nationals aware of world developments and develop an appreciation of the past.

Association Secretary Khalfan Mohammed Al Naqabi said, "We'll organise several training courses on computers and the Internet for beginners as well as advanced courses to help our national youth benefit from the advanced technology offered by the country to cope with the rapidly advancing world."

The association has also set up a heritage museum which will be stocked with all the archaeological relics unearthed in Khor Fakkan city. "The museum will help remind the young national generation of the heritage of their ancestors and how they lived in the past, in order to learn lessons of patience, determination and success," he added.

The association's social club, which was also opened recently, keeps young nationals busy with worthwhile activities during their leisure time.
