Into the life of every hard partier who has three children with Kourtney Kardashian, it seems, an LA-based stylist who speaks French fluently must fall.

Scott Disick, 32, is a reality star — or perhaps, more accurately, a small asteroid — best known for his nine-year relationship with Kardashian, 36, with whom he has two boys and a girl — and for his recurrent issues with drugs and alcohol. His signature move: going to rehab for undisclosed ailments.

“Everybody was under the impression that I was going to Costa Rica for a month for something, but the truth was I was never planning to go for a month, I was planning to go for as long as I went, which was the week, and work on myself, and I’m not done working on myself,” he told E! News in March. “And I actually plan to go back to the place because I think it’s an amazing place.”

But Disick seems to have added another trick to his repertoire: leaving his longtime companion, Kardashian, to “canoodle,” as Us Weekly put it, with his ex, Chloe Bartoli. In the wake of photographs of the possible couple that emerged from the south of France, Kardashian has called it quits.

Bartoli was promptly shamed on social media, where she was called a “homewrecker” and a “skank”. Much was made of her Francophone ways.

“Not only does she work and collaborate with her sister, but they live together in a bungalow deep in the Beverly Glen area of Los Angeles,” Hollywood Life wrote. “At their place, the twosome speak French exclusively. They were raised by their Parisian-born parents, who moved to Los Angeles before they were born, but still spoke their native language around the house. No wonder she was in Monte Carlo at the same time as Scott — perhaps for a visit home?”

“Your a babe and an amazing role model mother and all round woman,” a commenter on Kardashian’s Instagram account wrote. “Scott is stupid and you deserve more.”

Bartoli is the force behind Re/Done, which gives new life to vintage jeans. Whether she will have a similar effect on Disick remains to be seen.

“He’s in a classic shame spiral right now,” an unnamed individual told People. “He knows he’s screwing up, and he knows what he needs to do ... He has people telling him to go home and work things out, to stop this behaviour, to repent and to move forward. But he’s not doing it.”
