Emergency counters at residency and naturalisation departments in Dubai and Sharjah are ready to receive urgent applications during the Eid Al Fitr holiday, officials said yesterday.
Brigadier Saeed Mattar Bin Bleilah, Director-General of Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department, told Gulf News his department's doors would remain open for urgent applications during the first three days of the holiday.

"Those services will be offered for those who need an urgent visit visa or resident's visa. All the necessary counters will be open and officials will be available from 9am to 12pm," Brig Bin Bleilah said.
He said the immigration offices at the free zone would also be open at the same time and date of the emergency days at the department.
He added that Dubai International Airport's immigration office was already open around-the-clock.

"The department will be open on Saturday and Sunday and our officials will receive urgent applications," he said.
He added the counters open would be for residency, naturalisation and visit visas.
