The association had alleged that the actor abused security guards and officials at an Indian Premier League match on May 16, and banned him from the stadium for five years. Khan in turn denied the allegations and accused security guards of "manhandling" children accompanying him.

But all seems to be well after the victory. As his team lifted their maiden IPL title, Khan said he hoped fans would forgive him. "I want to apologise to the kids for my misbehaviour at the MCA. I apologise to all who saw me differently. I shouldn't have behaved in that manner. But today my team has won, so I guess all you fans should forgive me. We have won at last," he said.
