Al Ain: The Al Ain branch of UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) will set up iftar tents in different areas of the city as part of its Ramadan programme.
The tents will be located in different business and residential areas.
An official from the RCA said a detailed programme, which is currently being finalised, would shortly be made public.
The authority normally sets up more than half a dozen tents in different city areas, including Sanaiya, Aud Al Tuba, and the Central District. At these camps, more than 1,200 meals are served per day.
The RCA, a national humanitarian and voluntary authority, has also announced to distribute food supplies to underprivileged families in Al Ain and other parts of the emirates.
The programme would help as many as 30,000 families, mostly living in remote areas and are registered with the authority.
