Dubai: Emirates-CAE Flight Training (ECFT) has welcomed its latest clients, Dubai Air Wing and Elite Jets, for type training on full-flight simulators at its Dubai-based facility.

Dubai Air Wing's pilots will use the Bell 412 helicopter full-flight simulator in their type training. Elite Jets pilots will use the Hawker 800 business jet full-flight simulator.

Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and chief executive of Emirates Group, signed the contracts with Brigadier Ebrahim Al Hashemi, deputy commander of the Dubai Air Wing, and Paras Dhamecha, chief executive of Elite Jets.

Shaikh Ahmad said: "With the success of Emirates-CAE Flight Training, Emirates has successfully positioned itself as the centre of aviation training in the Middle East. I am pleased to welcome Dubai Air Wing and Elite Jets as our newest clients and I am confident their personnel will receive the highest level of training and service."

ECFT is located close to Dubai International Airport and is jointly operated under a long-term teaming agreement by the Emirates Group and CAE, the Montreal-based manufacturer of full-flight simulators and training provider.

Qualified to both JAA and FAA standards, ECFT offers training to commercial airlines and corporate aircraft operators.
