Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Statistics Centre released the following June consumer price data for the emirate on Saturday, showing annual inflation at its highest level since November 2010.
Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance jumped 12.9 per cent from a year earlier in June, while miscellaneous goods and services climbed 7.3 per cent and alcoholic beverages and tobacco rose6.4per cent.
Abu Dhabi Statistics Centre said it estimated annual inflation for the third quarter of 2014 would be around 3.9 per cent compared to 3.1 per cent in the second quarter.
Analysts polled by Reuters in April forecast average inflation in the UAE would accelerate to 1.9 per cent in 2014 and 2.5 per cent in 2015 from 1.1 per cent in 2013, which was the highest level since 2009.
