Saudi Arabia reports 2,201 coronavirus cases

Kingdom reports 31 COVID-19-related deaths

Dubai: The daily coronavirus cases detected in Saudi Arabia is declining day by day with only 2,201 new infections reported on Saturday, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 264,973.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Health, 2,049 more people have recovered from the disease, taking the total number of recoveries in the country to 217,973.

Meanwhile, the Kingdom’s death toll has climbed to 2,703 as 31 more patients succumbed to COVID-19.

Riyadh topped the list of Saudi cities with the highest number of newly detected infections after reporting 118 cases, followed by Hofuf with 115 new cases, and Al Mubarraz with 107 cases.

The other new infections were recorded in different cities and provinces across Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, the recovery rate in the Kingdom has crossed 82.2 percent, according to the health ministry.

The number of active coronavirus cases in Saudi Arabia stands at 44,488, and 2,120 of them are in critical condition.
