Dubai: Saudi Arabia on Tuesday reported 1,968 new coronavirus cases, pushing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 270,831, a significant decline for the third consecutive day.
The Ministry of Health also announced that the virus has claimed 29 more lives due to complications caused by COVID-19, taking the mortality tally to 2,789. The new cases were detected after the ministry conducted more than 64,000 PCR tests over the past 24 hours.

There are still 42,418 active cases, including 2,103 critical patients under intensive care.
Taif registered the highest daily reported cases with 183, followed by Hofuf with 167, and Riyadh with 118.
