Commuters are facing another busy evening on Dubai’s roads, with congestion building across major routes, particularly towards Sharjah, as rush-hour traffic intensifies, according to Google Maps.
Motorists heading towards Sharjah are facing bumper-to-bumper traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), with construction and accidents adding to delays. A long stretch from Garhoud, near Dubai International Airport, towards Sahara Centre is showing heavy congestion.

Heavy traffic is also reported on Al Safa Street (D71) around City Walk and Dubai Mall in both directions.
On Al Khail Road (E44), pockets of heavy to moderate traffic are reported from Meydan Road towards Dubai Hills Estate, with some of the slowest stretches around Al Quoz.
Traffic is also building near the Dubai Production City exit towards Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311).
In the opposite direction, motorists are encountering pockets of congestion around Al Quoz, Meydan and Ras Al Khor.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) is seeing very slow-moving traffic from Nad Al Hamar towards Muhaisnah.
Moderate congestion is also affecting stretches around Dubai Production City and parts of Dubai South.
Traffic on Emirates Road (E611) remains relatively smooth overall, although motorists are facing moderate delays around Al Awir.
Heavy traffic is also reported around Tilal, where construction work at Al Badia Interchange is causing delays.
Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time, maintain a safe following distance and review alternative routes as the evening rush hour intensifies.
