Though you may believe you are your dog's best friend, they may also have canine best friends. A TikTok user, Kayla McTeer, shared a heartwarming video of her dog face-timing with her best friend’s dog. The moment they saw each other, they started howling and barking, sharing joy.

Sadie, a husky and German shepherd mix, and Rollo, a rottweiler shepherd mix, apparently met during the pandemic when their owners moved into different apartments in the same building, in the Canadian city of Edmonton. The owners became best friends, and eventually, their dogs too.

Unfortunately, Rollo's owner moved away for a job opportunity. So the owners came up with an idea. The dogs FaceTime every week so they can see each other.

Talking to a local news agency, Sadie's owner McTeer said: "She has never been the biggest fan of other dogs. So when she met Rollo, she whined and cried and laid on her back as she'd just met the love of her life."

“Every time they see each other, he goes insane," added McTeer.

Interestingly, the studies say that it is common for dogs to have a canine best friend, just like human beings.

According to the website www.petMD.com, dogs ignore the other dogs and tend to play more or spend more time in general with their dog best friend. They may be more willing to share their toys, bed, water bowl and general space.

Seeing the adorable bond that both dogs shared made the owners create a TikTok account, which goes by the handle 'rolloandsadie'.

This particular video, captioned 'When you miss your bestie', of two dogs sharing the excitement and happiness of seeing each other on FaceTime, went viral and amassed over 21 million views.

They have also shared many adorable and funny videos of these dogs playing and cuddling. Their TikTok account has 6.4 million likes and 59.5 k followers.

The video of Rollo and Sadie together as best friends have left viewers delighted on social media.

A TikTok user who goes by the handle @Brandykay Smith commented on the post:" Please tell me this was only a temporary thing, and they are finally together and hanging out."

Another user, Alisha Jones, wrote: "They were spilling the tea about what the hoomans doing."
