Video shows mutilated body of four-month-old baby

The mutilated body of four-month-old Afaf Mahmoud Sarakebi was returned to her uncle, following her disappearance along with her parents 16 days ago. The baby's uncle is shown depicting the baby's bruises in the video which was posted on Youtube and carried on Al Arabiya TV and other news networks.

"This is Bashar Al Assad's implementation of the Arab League initiative," the uncle said. "We have no news of the whereabouts of her parents, the baby's body was handed over by the Shabiha (pro-Al Assad militia)," he said. The camera panned to her stomach and arms, revealing dark bruises. Gulf News had no way to verify the authenticity of the video.
