Abu Dhabi: Two Saudi men, in their 40s, have been arrested for barging into a Riyadh house, owned by a Saudi citizen, assaulting a housemaid and robbing 8 million riyals at gunpoint, police said.

“The duo have been identified and caught, while SR8 million were recovered,” Major Khaled Al Kreidis, spokesperson of the Riyadh Police, said.

He added the police also seized narcotics and firearms from the suspects’ possession.

The duo were remanded in custody, pending referral to the Public Prosecution for trial, police said.
