Abu Dhabi: Expats whose visas will expire by the end of this month will be given a three-month free extension, from June 1 until August 31, Kuwait media reported.

This is the second such extension, as the Interior Ministry granted a three-month extension to visas between March and May.

The directive comes amid the coronavirus pandemic, which forced many ministries to shut down in order to prevent the spread of the disease, the Ministry of Interior said.

The extension will only apply to individuals whose visas will expire by end of May and are still in Kuwait.
