Dubai: Bahrain has reported 438 new cases of coronavirus, taking the overall number of confirmed infections in the kingdom to 25,705, the Ministry of Health reported earlier today.
The new cases were detected after conducting 7,200 new COVID-19 tests in the past 24 hours, which also takes the overall tests done so far to 536,516.
Among today’s cases, 279 were detected among expatriate workers, while 150 were found to have been exposed to active cases and 9 others are travel-related.
Five more fatalities have been also confirmed, taking the kingdom’s death toll to 83. The ministry has also announced the full recovery of 736 COVID-19 patients, pushing the total number of patients recovered to 20,517, which means that over 79 per cent of the confirmed cases have recovered from the virus.
Currently, there are 5,105 active cases. Also, there are 74 COVID-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 41 are in a critical condition.
