Manama: A Bahraini court on Thursday postponed the trial of an alleged terror network to December 23 and called for the appointment of new lawyers.
The trial was held in a court in Manama under heavy security to ensure there would be no street scuffles or riots, but international human rights organizations were allowed to monitor the proceedings.
The alleged network was unveiled by the National Security Agency (NSA) in August following the arrest of 23 people on charges of forming an illegal group to undermine Bahrain's stability and security.
Two more suspects, living in London, are being tried in absentia and Manama has asked London to deport them.
