What is it?
From the guys who have brought us a number of hands-free communication devices comes the Jabra Drive, a clip-on, in-car speakerphone.
How does it work?
Jabra says it's one of the simplest devices they have made — just open the packaging and get connected. The Drive clips on to your car's visor and talks you through the set-up process, teaching you how to pair your Bluetooth-enabled phone. Once paired, it will connect automatically whenever you get into your car. When your phone rings, just press the button and talk away.
What's special about it?
Despite its minimalist look, the Drive does more than just transmit your sound. It can also play music and podcasts and, if your phone's GPS is compatible, read out directions so you keep your eyes on the road.
Jabra promises up to 20 hours of talk time or 30 days' standby, although this is yet to be tested. You can also connect up to two phones at a time and the device will prompt you when your battery is running low.
Funnily enough, the clever PR people for the brand have promoted it as the perfect device for busy "mums-on-the-go". We think it's perfect for anyone looking for a hands-free speaker.
When is it available in the UAE and for how much?
The Jabra Drive is available at all major electronics retailers in the UAE for Dh239.
