As the new golfing season has got underway in Dubai, Marta Balaguer has claimed the opening The Lounge Spa Ladies at Jumeirah Golf Estates.

Marta score 33 stableford points in the individual event around the Earth course with full course handicap allowance. An excellent five net birdies during her winning round and an impressive 20 points on her back nine.

Victory by three points for Marta from second placed Joo Yun Lee, who won with 30 points on countback. The highlight of Joo Yun's round was on hole six where she notched a gross birdie. Third spot after the countback was Sylvie Martin, with net birdies on holes 6,8,13 and 15.
