Where are the cartoons?

Any reason why the cartoon section is missing in the The Views section of the newspaper? My initial thought was that it was in error. However, even later editions have omitted this section. Please look into the issue.

No puzzle?

Please continue publishing the Futoshiki puzzle in the newspaper. It is a humble request from a very disappointed reader.

Readers want more

I have been a subscriber of Gulf News for many years. There is one thing I look forward to every morning — it is the last page of The Views, or the cartoon section. It brings a smile to our face, but that page, along with the Letters to the Editor section also have been removed. Earlier, the TV and cinema listings page was removed. Don’t you take the views of your readers, and whether they want any section to be there or not?

What about letters?

Did Gulf News stop the Letters to the Editor column?

No cartoons

Why is there no Ramadan calendar with today’s newspaper? Also, what happened to the cartoons on the back page of The Views?

From Ms Subuhi Seddiqi

Thank you for your feedback. The cartoons had gone off for technical reasons, but have resumed in The Views since May 17. Additionally, the Letters to the Editor section has not been removed, rather it is published once a week with the best of the week’s submissions, on Fridays. The Ramadan calendar was issued with the newspaper, as a separate insert on the first day of Ramadan - Thursday, May 17. It was designed as a standalone that readers could keep as a ready reckoner. You can still find it by clicking here.
