Dubai: Dubai Municipality’s Waste Management Department won the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work for 2017. During the 15th edition of the award, the municipality won first place in the “Best government body to create volunteering opportunities” category for the “Cleanup the World” volunteer campaign.
The Waste Management Department handed over the award to Dawood Al Hajiri, Director-General of Dubai Municipality.
Al Hajiri said that the award was the culmination of the efforts exerted by the municipality towards achieving the strategies that contribute to the dissemination and consolidation of the culture of social responsibility,
