What changes should I make to my diet to help control the symptoms of eczema?
If you are trying to help yourself in natural ways for eczema, diet plays an important role.
The golden rules which you should follow are:

1.Say a big no to sugar. Avoid sweets in any form, especially simple sugars like sweets, cakes, pastries, icecreams, chocolates, fizzy drinks, sweetened squashes and sweetened juices. Don’t consume white refined flour-based foods.
2.Avoid very sweet fruits like mango, grapes etc. Reduce the intake of melons. Eat fruits less in sugar like apple, pears, papaya, berries, kiwi, nectarine, peach, pineapple, and mandarins. Also include dry fruits like dates, raisins, figs, apricot, and prunes to sweeten your food.
3.Avoid all kinds of processed food.
4.Follow a predominantly vegetarian diet. Include lot of fresh vegetables, both cooked and uncooked. Bitter tasting vegetables are very good for you. Also Include a lot of mung bean in your diet.
5.Eat less meat, reduce chicken considerably, and avoid fish as far as possible. Prefer low-fat goat meat to any other meats.
6.Avoid shell fish completely. Say no to shrimps, crab, mussels, squid, lobster, oyster, octopus, mackerel, and tuna. Eat small white fish occasionally, if you really miss it. You can include hammour, white pomphret moderately in your diet.
7.Reduce wheat-based food considerably, and avoid bread.
8.Include olive oil, coconut oil and clarified butter in moderate quantity to your diet.
