You can't possibly go wrong with a Jason Statham action movie. Even if you add J-Lo to the mix.
That's exactly what I felt after watching the film premiere of Parker on Tuesday night at Meydan.
The plot twists and turns with plenty of action and suspense in the Taylor Hackford crime-thriller, which is an adaptation of a Parker novel.
Statham plays Parker, a professional thief who is out for revenge after his team leaves him for dead following a million-dollar heist.
The double-crossing crew's next hit is Palm Beach, Florida, where they plan to rob a multi-million dollar jewellery auction.
Parker seethes and waits to strike in an all-or-nothing attempt and meets an unlikely accomplice in real estate agent Leslie (Jennifer Lopez). Lopez's Leslie injects comedic relief to Statham's darker, fast-paced scenes. Somehow, it all clicked.
The heist movie was definitely worth my hour and 18 minutes. I give it five stars out of five.
