Literature lovers rejoice, because there are five days coming up that involve some of the world's most celebrated minds debating with each other and you. The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature is the largest of its kind in the Middle East, hosting more than 120 authors, chefs and journalists, who'll be covering topics including travel, food, media, horror and more in workshops, debates and talks.

Ticket holders will have the opportunity to attend everything from journalism workshops with veteran BBC correspondent, Max Easterman, to a talk with British author, David Nicholls.

The event will kick off with an evening of poetry; enjoy readings by international poets Imtiaz Dharker, John Agard, Yang Lian and Daljit Nagra - and they'll be joined by one of the most recognisable faces on British TV, Sir Terry Wogan, who will talk about growing up in Ireland and tell the story of his career - expect interesting anecdotes.

Plus, the Page to Screen workshop sees novelists talking about their stories being transformed for the big screen, with The Notebook author, Nicholas Sparks, talking about his many works.

Footnotes

The half-day workshop will teach people how to investigate a news story. Participants will be given a lead and will then have to present their final article.
