Emirates Telecom committed to comprehensive investigations on Mobily
Firm says no director, executive or employee will be absolved of liability until the investigation is carried out
Dubai: Emirates Telecommunication Corporation said on Monday it stands by its position that there should be a fully independent, comprehensive investigation to determine the causes and the responsibilities for the factors that led to the restatement of financials of its affiliate Mobily.
Etisalat believes that the responsibility of all directors and executives must be considered after completion of a suitably independent, comprehensive and professional investigation that all stakeholders and shareholders, the company said in a statement.
Until then, Etisalat shall not absolve any director, irrespective of who appointed him, from his liability, nor any executive or employee, the statement added.
