Eaton Business School (EBS) recently celebrated the Winter Convocation 2023, 'La Proclamazione,' in the ancient city of Rome, Italy. The event honored the 120 MBA students who successfully completed their Executive MBA programs from the renowned Università degli Studi Guglielmo Marconi (Guglielmo Marconi University – GMU).
The celebration began with motivational keynote speeches from the Dean, Dr. Rainer Masera, who quoted, “The ability to learn must be shared at all levels and it is up to you to be engineers of the new learning and the new teaching to make this possible.”
Professor of Marketing and Corporate Organization Prof. Tommaso Saso too asserted on the importance of communication by saying, “What distinguishes a good leader from a mere leader is especially the way he or she communicates dialogues and interacts both with the people working with him or her and with the outside world.”
The speeches included mind-altering theories that complemented the pedagogical achievements of the students from 34 different countries, along with their families and friends. The keynote speeches were accompanied by congratulatory notes from several luminaries, including President and General Manager of Guglielmo Marconi University, Alessio Acomanni, Prof. Anil Ahluwalia, Academic Director; Mashrook Ali, Co-founder and CEO of Eaton Business School; and Arturo Lavalle, Head of R&D and Intl. Relations Area, GMU.
The session commenced with an introduction to 'Ubuntu Global Leaders,' a collaborative effort with the student community at Eaton Business School. Keynote speakers Joshita Hephzibah, the Chairlady, and Louis James Hutton, the Liaison Officer, presented the group's CSR activities and proposals for the future.
Outstanding recognitions for the Best Dissertation and the Magna Cum Laude awards were presented to Dennis Hossan Ajuk and Britta Catharina Margot van Schooten, respectively. Their achievements were expressed with insightful speeches from them narrating their learning journey at EBS and about future aspirations.
The glorious moment continued with the rest of the graduates walking the ramp, accepting their halo crowns, and receiving their embedded success scrolls. While the shutterbugs kept busy, content of joy and triumph filled the air with pride and delight. The final act of victory was marked by the Cap Toss that touched the grand ceiling of the venue, the 19th-century neoclassical palace, 'Palazzo Odescalchi Simonetti,' Rome, Italy.
