Pakistan’s PIA resumes flights to Saudi Arabia

Airline to operate 23 flights per week to kingdom amid expansion plan



The first PIA flights to Saudi Arabia will begin from Lahore and Islamabad, Saudi online newspaper Sabq reported. The airline plans 23 flights per week to Saudi Arabia, Sabq quoted the PIA spokesman Abdullah Khan as saying.

Cairo: Pakistan’s national carrier PIA is scheduled Tuesday to resume flying to Saudi Arabia as the kingdom has partially restarted international flights, according to a media report.

The first PIA flights to Saudi Arabia will begin from Lahore and Islamabad, Saudi online newspaper Sabq reported. The airline plans 23 flights per week to Saudi Arabia, Sabq quoted the PIA spokesman Abdullah Khan as saying.

He added that the carrier had requested permission from Saudi authorities to add more flights to its schedule.

Should the request be approved, the number of flights heading to different Saudi cities is expected to reach 28 per week, according to the official.
