COVID-19: Oman records 1,197 new cases, 4 deaths

Latest cases take total infections to 38,150, fatalities to 163

Cairo: Oman Sunday confirmed 1,197 new cases of the novel coronavirus, raising to 38,150 the country's overall infections, the Omani news agency ONA reported.

The latest report shows an increase of 276 cases compared to Saturday when 919 infections were reported in the sultanate.

The newly diagnosed cases include 709 Omanis and 488 foreign residents, the Health Ministry said.

Oman's total fatalities from COVID-19 have reached 163 with four more such deaths.

The country's overall recoveries from the disease have reached 21,200 with an increase of 837 over the previous day, according to an update from the ministry.
