Kuwait: Nazaha investigates corruption case involving 37 government agencies
Ministry of Health led the institutions with most reported suspicions
Dubai: Nazaha, Kuwait’s Public Authority for Combating Corruption, is investigating a case involving 37 government agencies, Alkhaleej online reported.
In its annual report 2020, which was published on its official Twitter account, Nazaha said that it had received 90 reports until the end of December last year about suspicions of corruption in government bodies.
According to Alkhaleej online, the Ministry of Health led the institutions with most reported corruption suspicions after 11 reports were received.
There were 4 reports against the Ministries of Electricity and Water, Kuwait Municipality, Interior, Works, and Education, in addition to two complaints against each of the ministries of affairs, information, justice and finance, the Food Authority, and Civil Aviation.
Other reports being examined by the Anti-Corruption Authority covers the civil information, the Ministry of Oil, the Planning Council, the Investment Authority, the Financial Observers Authority, the Industry Authority, the Ports Corporation, the Youth Authority, and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
