Cairo: Kuwait police are holding two Indian expatriates in connection with the suspicious death of a compatriot, a Kuwaiti newspaper reported Thursday.

The case is linked to the fall of an Indian man from the seventh floor of a building in the area of Al Ahmadi, Al Anba said. His corpse was handed over to forensic medical authorities for a post-mortem report amid suspicions that there was a criminal motive behind his death.

Fell from apartment

A security source told Al Anba police had found that the man had fallen from an apartment inhabited by the two now-remanded Indians - a man and a woman.

The district prosecutor has registered the case as a death with a criminal suspicion pending a forensic report, the source added. The relationship between the three is not clear yet.
