Dubai: Saudi Arabia has announced 1,019 new COVID-19 cases taking the total number of confirmed infections in the kingdom to 311,855.
Thirty virus-related deaths have been reported during the past 24 hours, bringing the fatality tally to 3,785, the Ministry of Health said during its daily press conference today.

This has pushed the recovery rate to 91.79 per cent, Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Mohammad Al Abdul Ali said.
There are 21,136 active cases in the kingdom, of which 1,582 are critical under intensive care.
Mecca topped the Saudi cities in terms of the daily reported cases as the holy city registered 96 new infections, followed by Riyadh with 56 cases and Unaizah with 52. The rest of the new cases were scattered in different cities and governorates across the kingdom.
