Dubai: The VEO Ride came back to Dubai Creek Harbour for its second year as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2025 and it's become one of the community's favourite events. After a successful first edition last year, the ride brought together fitness fans, families, charity supporters, and even first-time cyclists for an evening all about movement, wellness, and giving back.

Workout with a view

Set along the peaceful waterfront with Dubai's sparkling skyline as a backdrop, the promenade turned into a buzzing outdoor cycling spot filled with music, energy, and good vibes. It's not your typical indoor spin class as this one comes with a view.

Michael, a German resident living in Dubai said what drew him in was the chance to cycle outdoors instead of being stuck in a gym. "Most cycling classes are indoors," he explained. "I prefer being outside where I can enjoy the fresh air and scenery."

Another participant Maira Carlotto, who exercises regularly said this event is a unique experience that combines community and fitness spirit.

"I'd heard about Dubai Creek Harbour and wanted to try a workout here," she said after her session. "The atmosphere and location were fantastic."

Every pedal counts

The VEO Ride isn't just about fitness. Every pedal stroke contributed to a good cause as all donations go to the Al Jalila Foundation to support children receiving cancer treatment. For many riders, including Michael, knowing their effort was helping young patients made the whole experience more meaningful.

It's the kind of thing that makes you push a bit harder and stay a bit longer, knowing your participation is actually making a difference.

The community spirit

The evening captured what community fitness events are all about. It brought together people from different backgrounds and interests, all united by exercise and a shared commitment to supporting charity. The beautiful setting, the upbeat atmosphere, and the purpose behind it all created an experience that went beyond just a workout.

The second edition of the VEO Ride will wrap up tomorrow at 10 am, and last year it left participants feeling accomplished and connected.

If the first two editions are anything to go by, the VEO Ride is well on its way to becoming a regular highlight on Dubai's community calendar.
