Abu Dhabi: Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council, chaired a meeting of the Executive Committee of ADNOC’s Board of Directors at the company’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

During the session, Sheikh Khaled reviewed ADNOC’s performance and strategic priorities, including plans to drive domestic growth and expand internationally via its global arm, XRG. Discussions also highlighted efforts to accelerate digital transformation using advanced artificial intelligence (AI) solutions and the continued development of national talent in the energy sector.

ADIPEC 2025 success underlined

Sheikh Khaled praised the success of ADIPEC 2025, hosted by ADNOC, as a key platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange in the energy industry. The event drew more than 239,000 attendees from 172 countries, generating US$46 billion (AED 168.8 billion) in 35,000 cross-sector deals, cementing the UAE’s role as a global energy hub.

New contracts and international partnerships

At ADIPEC, ADNOC announced multiple agreements aimed at boosting international growth and leveraging AI to maximise value. Highlights include:

  • TA’ZIZ contract to build the UAE’s first integrated single-site PVC production complex.

  • XRG framework agreements with Argentina’s YPF and Italy’s Eni to explore a potential integrated LNG project in Argentina.

Sheikh Khaled commended ADNOC for these milestones and emphasised the importance of staying competitive in a rapidly evolving global energy landscape.

The meeting was attended by prominent leaders including Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO; Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Managing Director and Group CEO of Mubadala Investment Company; and Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Finance.
