Makkah: Prince Khalid Al Faisal, Makkah governor and president of Saudi Arabia’s Haj Central Committee, said in a press conference on Thursday that the number of security personnel deployed this Haj reached 250,000. He added that the number of pilgrims without an entry permit was 110,000. More than 32,000 doctors and paramedics were in attendance in 135 health facilities. He also noted that the Committee will adopt ‘Smart Haj’ as part of the holy sites development project, which will accommodate five million pilgrims.
Prince Khalid said the development of the holy sites will be implemented by next year, and that Committee will start preparations for next year Haj from next week.
