Abu Dhabi: Five people, including a woman, were arrested for posting a video clip on social media that offended public modesty and prestige of the Omani community, the Muscat Governorate Police said.

The Royal Oman Police said, on its official Twitter account, that they were referred to the judicial authorities to complete the legal requirement against them.

The police had arrested an Asian man on charges of possession of and trading in alcoholic beverages and he was referred to the judicial authorities pending trial.
