Athens: Police say an 11-year-old Bulgarian girl who went missing in southern Greece over the weekend has been found dead.
Authorities had issued an "Amber Alert" - a notification system for missing children - when the girl disappeared on Sunday afternoon.
Police say the child's body was found before dawn Monday in an agricultural area of southern Greece, and that a man has been arrested on suspicion of being responsible for her death.
No further details were immediately available, but police said in an announcement an investigation was being carried out and that an announcement would be made later in the day.
