Jameela Al Muhairi, Director of the Public Schools Guidance and Monitoring Department at the ministry, said 277 public schools out of 417 schools underwent inspections, which is 66 per cent from the total number of schools. She said 105 public schools or 38 per cent have met standards.

She said the inspectors found that the highest improvement was in the student development and performance category with 96 per cent. Education and teaching quality came second with 94.9 per cent.
