Sharjah: The Sharjah Foundation for Social Empowerment has organised a special programme for orphaned children who are foundation members.
The ‘Day of my life' themed programme was run for the orphans and their friends and included arts and science activities.
The programme was attended by Sultan Bin Hidda Al Suwaidi, a prominent Emirati businessman and former member of the Executive Office in Sharjah.
The event was also attended by Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Ali, Director of Technical Services, Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority.
Al Suwaidi spoke to the children about his experiences and urged them to identify their goal in life, and to work towards achieving it.
Al Suwaidi encouraged the children to strive to work towards and achieve their dreams.
He urged them to be enthusiastic and to face problems in their daily lives with wisdom.
Al Suwaidi was keen to motivate the children and encourage them to work hard and to give for the benefit of their country.
Officials from the foundation said such activities were organised for the orphans to help create a kind of a calm and stable family atmosphere, which they enjoyed.
