Abu Dhabi: Around 34 police officers have participated in a specialised course in virtual flight training in Dubai, Sweden and Italy.
The Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing trained the officers in a three-phase course on how to pilot two types of aircraft.
This initiative comes within the framework of developing the police task force’s abilities in all fields and participants were trained for 14 hours in Sweden during the course’s first phase.
During the second phase, the officers trained for five hours in Dubai and the third phase took place in Italy.
The training included preparing officers on how to deal with aircraft, especially during technical malfunctions.
