Dubai: The first Indo-Pak Kushti Wrestling Championships will take place at the Hamdan Sports Complex on November 17.
The event, organised in association with the UAE Wrestling, Judo and Kick Boxing Federation and supported by Dubai Sports Council, will see the top 10 kushti wrestlers from India and the top 10 from Pakistan battle it out in their respective groups before the top two in each group progress into a mixed semi-finals, for the right to be crowned the ultimate Indo-Pak champion.
There will also be a second tier International Kushti Bowl tournament for the remaining eight who were knocked out of the Indo-Pak Kushti Championship and a Kushti UAE Cup tournament for the top four Indian and Pakistani wrestlers living in the UAE.
The event runs from 5pm to 9pm, with an awards ceremony thereafter on November 17, doors open at 3pm.
