Tunisian Davis Cupper Issam Jalali moved into the men's singles final of the Marbella Ramadan Tennis Championship with a swift 6-3, 6-3 victory against Florian Scheidat.
In the semifinals played on Sunday, the fourth seeded Jalali outplayed Florian Scheidat. He will now await the winner of the second semifinal between the UAE's top player Omar Behroozian and Ali Sharif.
In a match involving two hard-hitting baseliners, it was Jalali's superior court craft that stood out on the evening.
The final will be played on November 6 after the Eid break.
In the men's doubles finals, the top-seeded pairing of Stephan Muller and Ryan Addison got the better of Attiah Mahmoud and Ajay Kumar 6-4, 6-2.
UAE youngster Hamad Abbas helped himself to the boys' under-16 singles title with a 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 win over Faisal Bastaki.
Abbas took the first set with some excellent forehand winners, only to see Bastaki fight back in the second breaking him at 4-4 to take the set 6-4.
The third set could have gone either way with both players losing serve three times each.
And with the scores tied at 6-6, Abbas raised his game in the tiebreaker to win it 7-1 for the title.
